Hartman's Mountain Zebra

Approx. 18" X 24"

This exquisite stone inlay uses solid pieces of  Negro Marquina for the stripes and solid pieces of Bottaccino marble for the body of the subject, Rojo Alecante marble for the back ground, and will have Jualian Jade and Negro Marquina marble for the border. The surface will be honed to a  #600 finish and sealed with a color enhancing stone sealer. Details of the mane, forelock, ears, and eye lashes will be stained and the individual hairs cut into the stone surface. There will also be staining of the subject to show shadows and accentuate highlights similar to what you see in the mock up above.

This is currently a work in progress and was on display at the Union Industries Trade Show in Portland, Oregon, from April 29th 2005 to May 2nd 2005.
