City Rule Making and Regulatory Bodies
Cities and their populations can have a profound influence on the rules, regulations and laws that affect rural small holders. Just some of those effects are land use laws, election of local and state lawmakers who's interest are more closely aligned with those of the urban population, and support of lobbying groups involved in the creation and passing of environmental and animal management legislation, etc. that may have a negative impact on the rural small holder. In addition, many members of the urban population, due to their lack of knowledge of or experience with agriculture, in particular small animal agriculture, are unaware of the negative impact that these regulations can have on the rural small holder.
