Private Sector Bodies Involved In Rule Making or Lobbying For Legislation Private sector organizations can be a powerful force in influencing rules and regulations at all levels of government, and one would be advised to at least be aware of these groups and their current position on issues affecting the small holder. Private sector organizations can affect rules and regulations directly through lobbying public officials and indirectly through influencing public opinion through ad campaigns and other media such as direct interaction with the public at large.
