Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Joanne now makes here home in Mulino, about 15 miles south of Portland. An accomplished artist, she also works in the Portland metro area as a tile and stone installer, carrying on a family tradition in the masonry trades that spans a century and more.

Joanne  works in traditional media such as pencil, chalk pastel, and watercolor, as well as new techniques such as engraving on natural stone and work in digital media. Her work in the field of animal behavior gives her a unique perspective on the animal world and those individuals inhabiting it which she strives to incorporate in her art.

In addition to creating original works of her own, Joanne may be commissioned to create a portrait of a treasured companion or a work of original wildlife or fantasy art from your vision.

Joanne works from photos when she does portrait work. She can work from your photos or she can take her own. Joanne is also available to do photo shoots and web design.
