The OSHA was formed in 2006 in order to monitor legislation and rule making that affects the small holders of Oregon and make information that we receive available to those who are interested in or will be affected by new or altered laws and administrative rules. Now you can view a convenient list of US import/export stats for animals and animal products for the years 2002-2006. You can view stats for all countries as well as stats by country. There is also a link to the FAS Commodities Aggregation search engine on each page so you can verify the data or conduct a new search. Oregon Small Holders Alliance has formed a Working Group to study the impact that implementation of the National Animal ID System (NAIS) will have on small holder in Oregon and the USA. All members of the public and private sectors are invited to participate and/or contribute to the Working Group. To join just take the link above, there is no charge and you can do as much or as little as you like. Some people join just to receive the digests of discussions on the list and to have access to our reference materials. If you don't want to join but still would like to be kept up to date on our progress, you can sign up to receive updates via a daily digest of our discussions. Please be aware that you will not have access to links and files in the resources area of the list.
